My inspiration:

"It was the size of an angel,
its eyes were mild and tender
as those of the eagle
are fierce and threatening.

Beautiful, glorious
and sacrificing self of renewal;
it built a pyre and sat itself ablaze.
For its own sake.

Through the fire and the flames,
it arose anew.
And letting go
of what was no longer needed.

Embracing its new strength
and rising up to the heights of the sun,
it sat its eyes on the world;
a loud soaring returning from death.

Reborn from its ashes...
Behold, the phoenix; Whitewind,
The traveler of worlds...
the spirit that never dies.
